Background
Martin Githaiga is Head of People at Turaco, Africa's largest micro-insurance scale-up, which offers subscription-based insurance to emerging consumers across East and West Africa. Over four years there, Martin has built the people function powering Turaco's rapid growth. Previously Senior Manager of People Operations at the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, Martin has spent the past decade building people and operations foundations for startups across Kenya and the wider region, and is a RIKA Fellow and frequent speaker on people, culture and scaling teams.
